Process Professional Assessment method

PPA (Process Professional Assessment) is a "documented assessment process" required by
ISO / IEC 15504-2 / 33002 (JIS X 33002). (Ref. ISO / IEC 33002 4.1)

The PPA originates from an assessment method developed by Compita along with the UK Ministry
of Defense and related companies and is maintained by Compita to enable assessments in accordance with SEI’s
CAF / ARC and ISO / IEC 15504 / 33k.

Provides specific guidance for conducting assessments using CMM®,
CMMI®, ISO15504 / 33k, Automotive SPICE® and etc.

It can be applied to both purposes for improvement and for capability determination.

There are consistent supports from basic training to Assessor and Lead assessor training, Assessor qualification and refresher.

Facilitate developers themselves aware the need of improvements and prompting self-sustaining improvements.

Assessor and Lead Assessor training courses are available in Japan and can be taken in Japanese.

Effective and objective independent assessment is possible.

Handbooks which explain the roles and methods to be fulfilled by assessment personnel, and assessment
tools which support analyzing interviews and results and creating assessment report are available.

Your assessor status and the assessment results can be confirmed and share as needed through the PPA Register.

Organization can effectively promote process improvements by utilizing PPIM (Process Professional Improvement
Management Method) based on assessment results.
