Steps to Assessor / Lead Assessor

In the Process Professional Assesser qualification scheme, qualification consists of the following four stages.

・Provisional Assessor
・Qualified Assessor
・Provisional Lead Assessor
・Qualified Lead Assessor

Here, the Assessor has the role of assessing processes in assessment, the Lead Assessor has the role of managing assessment. Lead Assessor must have Assessor qualification at the same time.

Assessor is qualified for each model (CMMI®, ISO 33k or others). It is necessary to attend the Basic course and the Assessor course of the desired model at PPA.
On the other hand, the Lead Assessor is common for all models, so the qualification is valid for any model.

The step-up is shown in the following flow.

Under the supervison of qualified Lead Assessor, at least two times of participation to assessments of more than total 50 hours. (Note 1)
And obtain the recommendation from the Lead Assessor who lead the assessment.

Completion of the Lead Assessor Course(Note 2)
 Provisional Lead Assessor

2 years
Action5:
Under the supervison of qualified Lead Assessor, at least three times of participation to assessments of more than total 100 hours including the experience of Action 3. (Note 3)
And obtain the recommendation from the Lead Assessor who lead the assessmnt.

note 1:
The assessments should be class A or class B.
note 2:
It is necessary that it is after Action 2, but it does not necessarily have to be after action 3.
note 3:
For Lead Assessor qualification, it is necessary to take the lead role in class A assessment. Assessment time includes time for assessment planning, report preparation, etc.
